Happy Seventh Birthday

Luke's birthday was exactly on Easter this year.  We woke up and had pancakes and opened presents in jammies before going to church.  Luke may be one of the sweetest seven year old boys around.  I love that he still skips when he gets excited and still loves playing with his little sister.  Luke is always good about picking out a video that Eva will like so they watch Dora, Frankilin, or Caillou.  Just the other day as we were watching the Final Four he said, "Mom, I like watching sports more than Dora videos."  How sweet that he has almost forgotten about the normal boy things to do because he likes being with his sister so much.  Luke and Eva love to play with the piano, throw lamby and lewis in the 2 story foyer, make pillow piles, and make obstacle courses.
Luke still loves thinking and planning.  He currently wants to go to college to study more about outerspace or possibly volcanoes.  He knows how to take the Badger bus to Madison, where he is going to live, who his roommate is going to be, and when he is going to come home for his first break.  As he was discussing he was even practicing calling Eva saying, "Hi Eva, I am at college I am on my way home from class.  How are you?"  Luke still loves all our family traditions and is eager to plan the next family activity.
Luke is still one of the smallest ones to get off at the bus stop and I am so proud of all that he accomplishes at school.  He can read very well and can write 10 sentances all on his own.  He still loves doing his Kumon books and is most proud of his fourth grade geometry book.  He also was able to complete his Sparks book this year which was difficult for him first semester and then easier his second semester.  He loves having books read to him by mom/dad, Nana/Papa, Grandma/Grandpa.  He has deepened his friendships with boys at school and church.  Winter is still his favorite season and sledding is his favorite activity.  He likes green, blue, and red.  We got an I-pad for Luke and he enjoys playing angry birds, golf, and racing.

Luke loves anything that flies really high.  Here he got a bow and arrow set that can fly 150 feet.  We tested it in the church gym and it can fly the entire length and then bounce off the wall and fly another 20 feet.  He also got his third stomp rocket that we had to test inside our house.

Easter 2013

We had a great time this year dying eggs and hunting for eggs and baskets.  Luke is still saving up for his trip to Australia so he is going to use some of the money from his Easter eggs for his trip.  Eva got everything from swimsuits, hair accessories, fun spring clothes, twirling ribbon, umbrella and a hello kitty baseball bat.

Bennett and Boden were not here this year but here are the rest of the cousins.

Hudson is Four Months

Some say the third child may not get as much love and attention as a first born.  In our family Hudson gets pleanty of love and attention.  We are so glad he is healthy and growing.  Luke and Eva do a great job giving him extra love.  Luke has done a great job holding him and helping him.  He calls him the cutest baby in the whole world.  Eva can best be identified with Miss Piggie and her love for Kermit.  She will kiss him multiple times and can not hold back her joy.  She has the signature squeal as she hugs him and gets close to him.  She says she loves him because he is "so kissy."
