Christmas Joy

We have so much joy during the Christmas Season. The kids love all of our traditions. We first start by filling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We then make gingerbread houses and the kids buy each other ornaments. Aurora has a family Christmas cookie decorating where the kids each get a box of cookies to cover in frosting and sprinkles. We also enjoy the Christmas lights at Country Springs and most of all the train. Eva and Luke will each have a concert. Eva is singing the Winter Pokey. Luke is singing, "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas," among other songs. Eva also attended "A Christmas Carol," with Grandma and Grandpa this year.

Joy of being two

Hudson has grown so much and become such a fun brother for Luke and Eva. They can be heard laughing throughout the house, running, and playing games. He will frequently request to sing "Sugar, Sugar" with Eva while bouncing on her bed. He likes to play hide and seek with Luke. He likes to tackle daddy. Hudson can talk very well so he is like a little friend. I would be lonely without him when Luke and Eva are away at school. He is very happy and joyful. I love the "twos" so I hope to enjoy every minute.

So much to be thankful for..

We celebrated one of my favorite traditions with my family of 26 and Dave's family of 21.  We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed seeing everyone.

The cutest sad dragon with Elsa and Messi

This year was my favorite year of Trick or Treating so far.  We went with the neighbors. We had great weather and the kids never tired of running door to door getting more candy. It took Hudson a little while to get used to his dragon costume.

The princess finally rescues the dragon and brings him to the land of trick or treat.

My Birthday Girl

I couldn't be more thankful for Eva.  She still sings and dances everywhere she goes.  Once she gets there she either kisses Hudson, hugs me or tries to hug Luke.  She is super sweet to her baby brother.  She runs to his rescue in time of need.  She loves doing all the things her big brother does too.  She has transitioned to Kindergarten without even being tired.  Her teacher loves her work ethic, the pride she takes in her work, that she is a great example to the class, and that she can have fun too.  She is doing really well in both math and reading.  She is a good friend. I still love all of my love notes from her.

How do I get to be so lucky?
We always like to go to Eberts to celebrate Eva's birthday as well.
