What a way to spend the day

Fall is so beautiful because there is magic in the air during perfect moments like these.  We enjoyed the apple orchard on a day when the apples were perfectly ripe.  The kids loved getting the apples right off the tree and eating them.  Of course they always taste better right from mother nature.  The kids asked if we could go back every week.

On a different week end we hiked at Devils Lake when the first leaves were just starting to turn yellow.  It is such a beautiful place and the kids had a great time hiking.

September 2, 2014

So much excitement and anticipation come waiting for the first day of school.  Both Luke and Eva are eager to see their friends and meet their teacher.  I am so thankful for all the opportunities that school provides.  I am so thankful to see Eva and Luke growing and learning.

I love my kids.  I love watching them enjoy nature and running to all their favorite garden paths.

Firefly

We successfully made it to Firefly twice this year.  We celebrated Drew's second birthday and Jake's seventh birthday.  We used a new tent that fit all five of us.  We loved the new and improved door on the tent that would open and close without zipping.  Luke loved biking all throughout the campsite, around Crystal Lake, over the bumps, and 8 miles to Trout Lake.  Eva loved playing with Bailey and Abby.  We also got to see Judah, Riley, and Jackie the following weekend.
We were lucky to have Aunt Jan with us camping.  She is in between chemotherapy and radiation therapy for breast cancer treatment.  She is just as vibrant as always.

Here is the Kostner Family.  The Krause/Kostner family picture is on another camera.
