"Take My Picture"

Eva had her first dance recital this weekend.  She danced a pre-ballet routine to "Take My Picture."  She has been so excited ever since she got her costume.  We have practiced every night.  The little kids are the sweetest in the entire recital.

Eva was able to sit on my lap and watch the rest of the 3 hour show.  Here she is at 11:00pm at night after the show.

Here are a few pictures of Hudson at 6 months.  He is getting more fun every day.  He loves playing with his brother and sister.

Botanical Gardens

Every year the kids love running through every path at the botanical gardens.  It is the best and most beautiful hike of the year.

Madison Memorial Day Trip

Dave and I celebrated our 11th anniversary by spending the weekend in Madison.  I am so glad I chose my husband very wisely.  I love that he loves me all the time, loves to see me happy, and loves family above all other commitments.  I have learned that Dave loves a challenge and he thrives with every new thing life brings to us.  Thanks for being so strong for our family.

I would have loved to walk on campus with Eva and take her to every class in college.

Luke and Eva scooting on the lake shore path of Lake Mendota.

The UW band got a new practice field so we had to try it out with sprints and long jump.

I made Dave do push ups just like Bucky Badger after a touchdown.

Before we left for Madison Eva had a butterfly release at school.

We finished the weekend with a cook out.  We also went to the zoo and out to dinner for our anniversary but we did not take pictures there.

Mother's Day

Every Mother's Day Eva's school has a mother child breakfast and the children are so proud to share their little tables with their mom's for breakfast.  Eva is so sweet and so fun to be with.  Here she is with her friend Sofia.

Eva sang two songs for the mother's with her super cute smile and leg pulsing to the beat.

Eva made a beautiful pink frame with flowers pressed inside on homemade paper.  Luke made a beautiful card at school as well.
This was the first mother's day where I got to choose what I wanted to do with the kids so we went mountain biking at Kettle Moraine John Muir trails.  Luke and I biked the shortest loop together and he did great going over the hills and rocks.  It reminded me of when I was mountain biking with him in Colorado while he was still inside me.  I loved biking by myself through the beautiful prairie and looking at all the flowering trees and gliding through the pines.  It was fun riding the rocky and twisty single track with the birds chirping and spring in the air.

We traveled simply with all five of us in the sedan with two bikes in the trunk and two bikes on the bike rack.  The kids had fun in the back seat together.

Run 3 miles - Bike 18 miles - Run 3 miles
The Sunday after Mother's Day I had wanted to do the Delafield Duathalon.  It was so much fun and it was just beautiful weather.  We ran along the bark river and over the golf course and then biked to Stone Bank and back.  It was exhilarating riding in the beautiful country side.  Next year I will train and it should be even more fun when I am not so tired by the end.

We also got to see all the new babies in Dave's family... Julie and Drew, Hudson and I, Jackie and Judah, Katie and Camryn.
