If there was ever one time I wanted to turn back time it was the day Hudson broke his arm. I would love to turn back time and make sure he was not on top of the play structure that day. I got a call from Richmond saying Hudson had fallen and it looked like his arm was dislocated. EMS was already there and asked which hospital that I would like Hudson to go to. The fastest way I could see Hudson was if he could come to my hospital. I waited in the emergency bay for the Lisbon ambulance. Hudson was so brave and arrived with his big eyes on this stretcher. What a sweet guy. Everyone said they could not believe how quiet he was. It breaks you heart.
After the first x-ray it was clear that we should go to Children's Hospital. I was able to transport Hudson to Children's in my van. We reclined his seat and put on Eva's Christmas music. Luckily Hughie and lovie were in the car.
At children's they put him into "twilight" to reduce and splint his arm. He did great. We ordered room service at 9:00pm and waited for surgery.
We went to surgery around 6:00am. Eva and Luke packed him two more animals to go with him.
Hudson did well in recovery. His first cast was blue. Dr. Van Valin said surgery went very well.
Here is the radial and ulnar dislocation with lateral epicondylar fracture and displacement.
Hudson is such a trooper. Here we made puppy chow and he is using his new water bottle from the Ulrichs.
For Dave's Birthday we went to Marty's pizza and Harley came with.
