Kindergarten Graduation

Luke starting Kindergarten was certainly a milestone, yet him finishing it felt even more profound.  I am so happy that Luke had a successful year.  He was able to learn at a rapid rate, make friends, go to different classes, ride the bus, and get "green" cards every day.  The kids recited four different Eric Carle books, did a 12 part Kindergarten chant, and sang a song about going to first grade.  I cried when Luke gave me a big hug and the purple flower after the performance.

This song is sung to the tune of "New York, New York."
Start spreading the news, we're leaving today, we want to be a part of it, first grade, first grade.  We've worked very hard, wer're ready to go, we're gonna be a part of it first grade, first grade.  We know our ABC's and our 1,2,3s so well, We've worked at sounding out words and stories to tell.  Just ask us to rhyme, we'll say tens and pens, we've learned to share and get along with all our friends.  So now we made it there, we'll make it anywhere, we're on our way, first grade, first grade.

I love Eva's smile in the picture of her on her last day of school.
